KEY INFLUENCES

Poverty

Poverty has a major influence on the health of women and girl in my community. Access to family planning education and services is a significant constraint. As a result, women and girls bear the burden of early pregnancies, many children, major financial constraints, and poor living conditions.

KEY CHALLENGES

Poor infrastructure: Dilapidated buildings & bad roads
Health facilities in disrepair, horrible roads, and lack of adequate transportation impact access to health care and family planning for women and girls in the community.

Lack of Awareness

Many women and girls in the community have no knowledge of family planning methods and no one to teach them.
Increased cases of teenage pregnancy due to lack of awareness of use of contraceptives.

Fear of Stigmatization
To avoid being judged and seen as indecent, young girls and women refuse to ask questions or talk about family planning and contraception. These topics are seen as a 'taboo'.
