Enhancing Capacity & Facilitating Action

The UH360 Leadership and Training Platform is intended to support the work of urban health influencers, municipal leaders, and any community member interested creating action and solutions for the health of their community.

Using our 6 focus areas as the fulcrum, our Subject Matter Experts and members of the UH360 Program Advisory Group of Experts share their knowledge, expertise, and experience to enhance local capacity and facilitate action.

We engage communities supported by our partners and collaborators, municipal leaders, key stakeholders, practice communities, and emerging leaders in urban health.

We enhance capacity through:

Problem-solving

identifying challenges and determining effective solutions

Innovation

staying current and relevant; keeping track of population and health changes and needs, and creating new ideas for action

Leadership

acquiring skills to lead community awareness and action; staying informed; engaging key stakeholders effectively and with purpose; being creative in taking action; valuing the voice of all members of the community

Planning

working effectively with key stakeholders and members of the community to plan for healthy environments

Building trust and respect

recognizing the value of engagement; focusing on common solutions; holding everyone accountable; building a culture of health learning; communicating across all groups
